Guinness World Records 2013: Spider-Man creates history
Spider-Man was added in Guinness World Records 2013 for breaking the record of the ”Most Contributions to a Greeting Card''.
The famous Super-hero got 2,707 signatures in an event
organized at New York Comic Con on the occasion of his 50th birthday on 14th October.
Marvel partnered with Hallmark to create the life size birthday card of 6 feet by 8 feet. Enthusiastic fans signed the card with their birthday wishes and became a part of creating history.
Spider-Man broke the previous world record of 1,816 contributions by TNT show ”The Closer". It had been set back in August at the conclusion celebration of the famous show.
"For 50 years, Spider-Man has proven to us all that he's nothing short of amazing. And now, by receiving the most-ever contributions to a greeting card with 2,707 Happy Birthday wishes, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is an official Guinness World Records holder too," said Guinness World Records Official Adjudicator, Mike Janela.
