The Niagara falls is located on the Border of two countries, USA on the northern side and Canada on the Southern.This mighty waterfalls is divided into three main parts,viz. American falls,Bridal Veil falls and the Canadian falls which are separated by the Luna Island
and the Goat Island.This waterfall is located on the Niagara River and as vertical drop of more than 165 ft.More than 6 million Cubic feet of water falls per minute in a High flow. The length of the left brink is about 1100 ft and height is about 170 ft. and it drops over 150,000 U.S Gallons of water per second. The length of the Canadian side waterfall is about 2500 ft and height is 180 ft.and drains 600,000 U.S gallons of water per second and hence it is known as the most powerful and dangerous waterfall in the world.

The Niagara was completely frozen on March 28,1948 due to an Ice jam on the upper river or several days.Later in 1969 the flow over Niagara was completely stopped, no one knows a better reason or this natural activity.This waterfall is also commonly known as the Mist falls due to the huge amount o mist generated at the bottom. Many people tried to walk over the Niagara falls but none of them was successful. But the American Daredevil Nik Wallenda fulfilled this dream and became the First Tightrope walker in June.Later he received many awards for this bravery.
Many scientists are working on harnessing the power of these mighty waters, Few are successful and hope others to get in mere future.The Niagara will always remain a part of thrill in the Heart of Millions.
